Alright, so Microsoft’s got this thing called the Surface Laptop 7. Sounds fancy, right? But honestly, what really grabbed me about this piece of tech is the keyboard and trackpad. Maybe I’m just a sucker for smooth typing. And hey, there’s this 120Hz display too. All packed into a stylish look. Not like anyone wants to lug around an ugly brick all day.
So, here’s the thing, it’s usually super spendy. But guess what? Right now, you can snatch it up for $500 less. That’s a pretty big chunk off! And you get this 13.8-inch model packed with Snapdragon X something-or-other, 32GB memory — which sounds like overkill for just checking emails or whatever, right? — and a huge 1TB storage.
Everybody’s raving about this laptop. Like, it’s up there as one of the best Windows machines. Our buddy Zac Bowden even said it was “basically perfect.” Though, what’s perfection, really? But if you’re into the clamshell style, I guess it’s spot on.
Now, about the design. They gave it a facelift — seems like Microsoft’s pushing for something more chic against all the premium said-whatevers out there. Oh, they did something inside too, so you can actually fix the thing if need be. Handy, ‘cause who wants a disposable laptop?
People might grumble it’s got an LCD panel instead of something else, but seriously, the screen’s fab. Back when I tinkered with it, it was sharp and vibrant. Or maybe I was just having a good day.
Inside, it’s got this Qualcomm Snapdragon X chip with an NPU — Neural Processing Unit for the uninitiated. Basically, it’s all future-proofed with AI stuff for Windows 11. I mean, the specifics are Snapdragon X Elite blah blah blah, if numbers and letters jazz you up.
Oh, and Surface Laptop 13-inch? It’s the new kid, yet doesn’t kick the Laptop 7 to the curb. Different strokes for different folks. It’s lighter and easier on the wallet. But let’s be honest, it’s not as muscly or posh as the 7.
So, for the fancy schmancy experience? Yeah, go with the Laptop 7. Plus, it’s on sale, right? At Best Buy, if memory serves. (Did I mention it’s $500 off?)
