Sure, here it is:

So, here’s the scoop. David Sirland, one of the big brains behind Battlefield 6, recently spilled the beans about how destruction damage in the game works. Apparently, it does affect you, but it’s not like an immediate “ouch!” moment. They’ve got this whole environmental destruction thing going on, which is one of the major selling points for Battlefield 6, set to drop on October 10.
Saw this image somewhere, really caught my eye. Maybe just me, but the explosion looked like a giant popcorn kernel popping. Weird, right?
Anyway, there’s been a crazy good response to the public beta, which is putting some serious wind in Battlefield 6’s sails right now. It’s kind of hilarious because it’s already setting records on Steam for player engagement, even giving Call of Duty a bit of a run for its money. Over half a million folks jumped in during the first open beta on Steam. Seriously. Like, just picture that many people together, all gaming away. Madness.
But back to destruction – yeah, so this guy Sirland says that when stuff collapses around you, it doesn’t just instantly wipe you out. Because, I mean, who wants that? He said something like it’s better for the gameplay to be fun than super random, which, when you think about it, makes sense. Seems if you hang out too long under falling debris, it starts to take a toll on your health. Big chunks of rubble are apparently worse. Makes me wonder, how long can you dodge the chaos before it really gets you?
Hoping that these tweaks they’re planning for destruction damage make things interesting, but not too punishing. It’s all still a bit up in the air how they’ll balance it out by launch time. Will it be more dangerous or just a bit more user-friendly? Guess we’ll see.
Also, heads up, the next beta round is coming soon. August 14 to 17, mark your calendars. It might be the only other chance to get a taste before the game officially launches in October. Can they top the previous beta’s hype? Fingers crossed. If it gets anywhere close, we’re in for a treat.
Saw another image that reminded me of a blurry painting. They really nailed the art. Oh, and about playing on Steam Deck? Who knows yet. Wait and watch, I guess.
Anyway, where was I? Ah, yes. I guess it’s time to dust off those controllers and get ready. Maybe the second beta round will answer some nagging questions we all have. It’s like waiting for a movie sequel, isn’t it? Only with more explosions and—hopefully—less waiting.
