Alright, bear with me here. So, here we go — Magic: The Gathering’s having a new twist, and Team Avatar is dropping in. I know, right? Like, who saw that one coming? Anyway, fans are gonna lose it because — drumroll — the Cabbage Merchant is getting his own card. Yeah, the guy who’s basically famous for yelling “My cabbages!!!” every time Aang and Appa decide his veggies look smashable.
So, this card popped up in a Magic livestream on, like, Tuesday, I think? It’s part of this Jumpstart thing, which is usually where newbies learn their stuff. But then again, some serious players might find this card worth a second look for their decks. (Oh, and FYI, these Jumpstart cards can join in during Commander games, but not in Standard ones. Go figure.)
You remember the Cabbage Man, right? Yeah, there’s gonna be more than just one version of this guy. The Wizards of the Coast folks hinted THAT during the stream. Like, maybe you’ll see him looking all different, or at least with some new art styles — or maybe more expressions? Who knows, right? One of the hosts was like, “We might be seeing more of the Cabbage Merchant on some other art pieces,” and added, with a wink probably, “he isn’t always this happy,” which, honestly, makes sense. I mean, considering his usual misadventures with those darn cabbages. Anyway — wait, where was I? Oh right, yeah, can’t wait to see how this all plays out!
