Alright, so I just finished watching the THQ Nordic 2025 Showcase, and let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster. So many games, my brain is still spinning—totally worth it though. Anyway, here’s the lowdown on what’s coming.
So, first up, Tarsier (ever played Little Nightmares? Creepy, right?) is cooking up this wild horror thing called Reanimal. Sounds like a ride. They dropped a trailer, and the monsters—oh boy, the monsters—gave me chills. You got siblings, orphaned ones, surviving the nightmare world, yadda yadda, you get it. You can team up too, either online or on the couch. Invite a friend and spook yourselves silly.
And then there’s SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide. I gotta say, I didn’t know I needed more SpongeBob in my life, but here we are. Comes out on PS5 on November 18. You can switch between SpongeBob and Patrick, finally! Plus, David Hasselhoff is in it. Why? I have no clue, but I love it. There are pre-orders with tons of stuff like costumes and passes. So collectors, start drooling.
Oh man, and talk about passion projects – they’re bringing back Gothic. It’s not just a remake; it’s like a full-on, massive love letter to RPG fans. The demo’s already out. If you haven’t played it yet, head into the Valley of the Mines and just soak it all in. Trust me, it’s worth it. And there’s more coming in 2026, like a whole Gothic Classics collection on PS5.
Now, I wasn’t really expecting this – but Eternal Life of Goldman snuck up on me. The trailer was… I don’t know, weirdly beautiful and gloomy? It’s a platformer, but it’s got this deep storyline. You know what I mean? Like, you want to explore every corner.
Switching lanes a bit, Digixart is doing this thing called Tides of Tomorrow. Remember Route 96? Well, this is their new gig. It’s got this asynchronous gameplay feature – don’t ask me to explain it, I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. But decisions matter, and it’s all in a universe you kind of control. So, that’s pretty cool.
Quick side note: Wreckfest is getting a sequel! It’s my go-to for when I just want to de-stress. Something about smashing cars, right? BugBear is back with it on PS5 in 2026. Can’t wait.
Oh, and for fans of mythical stuff, Titan Quest II is in the works. Think hack-and-slash, loot galore, Greek mythology – yeah, it’s a mash-up of awesome. You can mix masteries or whatever to create your mythological hero. I’m already daydreaming about the combo possibilities.
And then there’s Wreckreation – a wacky racer with all sorts of customization. You can change everything: music, cars, weather. You can even build roads… on a dinosaur if you feel like it. Seriously. It’s all about you and your crazy in-game fantasies. Coming later this year.
Phew, I feel like I talked too much, but there’s just so much goodness coming. If you’re heading to Gamescom, you’ll get to check some of these out. Lucky you. Have fun!
