Okay, so here’s the thing. I wanted to start off talking about how, um, the Konami code—yeah, that crazy sequence we all love—doesn’t work for costume unlocks yet. You’ll have to wait for version 1.3.0, I guess. Disappointing, right?
Anyway, Nintendo dropped a new update for Mario Kart World, and as usual, it’s got that classic Nintendo touch. You know what I mean, those tiny, hidden tweaks that make you wonder, “Was that broken before? Or did I just not notice?” Honestly, who knows with these updates.
So, the patch notes list is out there floating around. It’s got all these random course tweaks… like, what even is an “obscure course fix” anyway? But hey, apparently you can now see when you’ve found all the switches and Peach medallions in free roam mode. If you’re one of those completionist types, that probably makes you happy. Or stressed. I can never decide.
Oh, and this is kind of neat—you can choose a character to watch in the online modes now. Not that I spend my nights watching Mario Kart races, but like, I could.
Also bumped up the chances of lap courses popping up in “Vs Race” and wireless races. So, if you’re into that, life just got a tad more exciting. Or predictable. Maybe both. I was going to wrap this up with a witty line, but… yeah, it’s gone.
