Exciting news in the gaming community as NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5050 laptop GPU has made its first online appearance, spotted on an LG laptop. This unexpected reveal lends credibility to the GPU’s existence and offers us some intriguing specifics about this model.

At CES 2025, we witnessed the grand unveiling of NVIDIA’s upcoming RTX 50 mobile platform, where they showcased high-end models such as the GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070 GPUs. However, the more budget-friendly 50-class and 60-class GPUs were notably absent from the presentation. According to insights shared by @BullsLab, next year’s LG Gram laptop lineup is set to include the NVIDIA RTX 5050 GPU model in their roadmap. Initially, though, these laptops will ship with the RTX 4050 at launch.

Speculation suggests that NVIDIA had initially planned to introduce the RTX 5050 at CES 2025, but had a change of heart, which is why LG has mentioned it in their promotional materials. Given that future LG Gram laptops will eventually offer the RTX 5050 variant, it seems probable that these 50-class GPUs will feature pin-to-pin compatibility. This aspect would mean a shared physical connection and power setup, facilitating LG in streamlining the upgrade process.

There’s buzz around the GeForce RTX 5050 mobile GPU equipped with 8GB of GDDR7 memory and utilizing the GB207 silicon. Codenamed “GN22-X2,” specifics remain sparse, but we can expect performance and efficiency advancements. A recent leak suggested that the GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU will rival the RTX 4070, hinting at impressive capabilities that might translate to the RTX 5050 as well.

For the time being, NVIDIA plans to introduce only four models within the RTX 50 series mobile platform, with additional models anticipated to launch over the coming months.

Here’s a preliminary snapshot of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 “Blackwell” laptop GPU lineup:

– RTX 5090 (Laptop): 16 GB GDDR7
– RTX 5080 (Laptop): 16 GB GDDR7
– RTX 5070 Ti (Laptop): 12 GB GDDR7
– RTX 5070 (Laptop): 8 GB GDDR7
– RTX 5060 (Laptop): 8 GB GDDR7
– RTX 5050 (Laptop): 8 GB GDDR7

Stay tuned as we watch NVIDIA’s latest innovations unfold, promising an exhilarating journey for laptop gaming enthusiasts in the near future.
