Switch 2 news, oh boy. So Nintendo, right, they just told us that Drag x Drive’s coming out on August 14. Yeah, it’s their wheelchair basketball game. Cool, huh? Apparently, it uses some funky mouse controls. Anyway, it drops the same day as Madden NFL 26. Who plans these things?
Now, here’s something odd. Drag x Drive gives us a peek into Switch 2’s 2025 journey, kinda. The whole release plan for the half-a-year post-launch might be unfolding. Maybe.
And what’s up with pricing? Drag x Drive’s sitting at $19.99. Not too bad if you ask me. August feels kinda empty, gaming-wise, but hey, this fills a gap. Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the Switch 2 version of course, is also joining the fun with an expansion called Star-Crossed Land. New Mouthful Modes? Whatever those are, I’m intrigued.
Oh, July has its own lineup. Donkey Kong Bananza hits first, then Super Mario Party Jamboree gets a Switch 2 facelift with some fresh TV content. They’re mixing vintage with new stuff, seems like.
September’s quiet. Too quiet. Nintendo’s calendar looks blank, but third-party folks are all over it. Borderlands 4, Final Fantasy Tactics, and some Daemon x Machina thing. Just as well, I guess.
Moving to October, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is the big deal. A dual-release for both old and new Switch versions. That’s something to chew on.
And then, oh, 2025 promises a couple of Switch 2 goodies: Kirby Air Riders and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. No dates yet. Maybe we’ll see Metroid Prime 4 in September? Seems like a fit since Kirby’s already keeping busy with a re-release.
Fall might see things like Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, Hades 2, and Hollow Knight: Silksong popping up. Call of Duty, perhaps? And this Zelda-themed brawler, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, could hit us in winter. Or spill into early 2026. Who can tell?
Oh, oh! GameCube classics for Switch Online + Expansion Pack! Names like Super Mario Sunshine, Fire Emblem, Luigi’s Mansion, you name it. Even with 2025 looking kinda packed already, Nintendo is known for tossing curveballs. The unexpected’s always lurking.
