Sure thing, I’ll dive right in!
So, right, there’s a funky mix of news buzzing around — ININ, Tozai Games, Irem, and some other names are hyping it up big. We’re talking about the IREM Collection Volume 3. It’s dropping next week, for consoles, in both digital and physical forms. Take a deep breath, gotta love the smell of something new, right? If I’m honest, not sure why I care, but it’s stuck with me. So let’s dig into this, shall we?
First things first, they’re diving into IREM’s arcade history with three, yes three, fantasy shoot ‘em ups. Ever heard of Mr. Heli, Mystic Riders, or Dragon Breed? Yeah, neither did I until like, yesterday. Anyways, it’s all jam-packed into this explosive collection. I know, sounds a bit dramatic, right? But hey, that’s what makes it spicy!
Now, roll with me here for a second. Mr. Heli, or should I say Battle Chopper, is a cute ‘em up — never knew that was a thing until now. Picture this: a chopper with legs! It’s from ’87, throwing you back to classic Japanese arcades. You hoard crystals, upgrade stuff, and of course, blow things up. Why? Because it’s fun, duh. Such a throwback!
Then there’s Mystic Riders. Magic and chaos on broomsticks, fighting oddball creatures. Sky turtles, anyone? They really swung for the fences here. Before I get lost in nostalgia again, just know you can ride solo or bring a buddy along — teamwork makes the dream work or something like that.
Okay, last one — Dragon Breed. This one gets all fantasy apocalypse and stuff. Biomechanics, dragons, and fire, fire, fire! Imagine R-Type with wings, or don’t. I dunno, maybe I’ve just had too much coffee.
What did I forget? Ah, yes — the special features to make you feel like you’re standing in an arcade again, without the sticky floors. Rapid-fire buttons, save/load magic, rewind tricks. Oh, and some of those filters to give you that retro vibe. Flex your high scores on global leaderboards, if that’s your jam. I guess… it ain’t bad.
Disclaimer? Our team at PS4Blog.net will drill into a review for this collection — can’t wait to see what we uncover there.
Phew! Did I cover it all? Probably not, but hey, that’s enough rambling for now. Stay tuned!
