Oh man, so there’s this new Doom game, right? The Dark Ages? Yeah, it’s somehow crushing it — second spot on Steam last week. And don’t even get me started on the whole Counter-Strike 2 thing. I mean, still at the top, as usual.
Anyway, Doom launched back on May 15th, and people are mostly loving it, though honestly, I wouldn’t know because I’m stuck on last year’s games. Whatever works. Oh and PUBG: Battlegrounds? Didn’t see this coming, but it jumped like 14 spots! Thanks, Shanghai. Some big tournament thing happened, PUBG Global Series 8, and suddenly everyone’s all hyped up again.
Steam Deck, still solid in fourth, like “Yeah, I’m not going anywhere.” Meanwhile—get this—Stellar Blade pre-orders? They’re already climbing up the charts, but we gotta wait until June 11, 2025. Who plans this far ahead? After the PlayStation 5 showing next year.
Now Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, it slipped a bit to sixth, but whatever, right? Cause this other RPG just flew up 58 spots because of this killer 60% off. Gotta love a good discount! And the hype train doesn’t stop there—Helldivers 2 catapulted 37 positions. I guess some new stuff dropped. Keeps it fresh, you know? Better than stale toast.
Oh, and Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Time pre-orders are nudging up too. May 21st is the big day. Mark your calendar or not, who am I to tell you what to do?
Wrapping it all up, The Precinct—a debut thing, it sort of snugged into tenth. Go figure.
Let’s see if I got this right:
1. Counter-Strike 2, naturally. Valve
2. Doom: The Dark Ages, Bethesda
3. PUBG: Battlegrounds, Krafton
4. Steam Deck, trust Valve
5. Stellar Blade, from Shift Up (P)
6. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Kepler Interactive
7. Cyberpunk 2077—hello there, CD Projekt
8. Helldivers 2, thanks PlayStation
9. Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Time (P)
10. Ah, The Precinct by Kwalee
So wild. Gaming world keeps spinning!
