So, GAME threw this out there — pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 are rolling out at some of their stores. They called it your “final chance,” whatever that means. Maybe they’re just trying to make it sound urgent, I don’t know. I mean, last time I rushed for one of these “limited chances,” I ended up with a closet full of Beanie Babies. Don’t ask.
Anyway, GAME says you can scoot over to one of their stores and slap down a £20 deposit. Boom, just like that, you’ve got a good old spot reserved for the Switch 2 when it hits the shelves on June 5th. They’re even throwing a Mario Kart World bundle into the mix. How generous, right? Although, I’m not sure if I’m more excited about the bundle or the date — but that’s just me getting sidetracked.
The buzz isn’t just about GAME, though. A bunch of smaller UK shops, like The Game Collection and Simply Games, jumped on the bandwagon too. They’re sweetening the pot with some spicier bundles that might make your wallet cry a little.
Right, so mark your calendars or whatever people do these days. The Nintendo Switch 2 drops globally on June 5, 2025, and here’s the kicker — it’s gonna set folks back £395.99 in the UK. Over in Europe, it’s €469.99, and across the pond in the US, it’s $449.99. Not cheap, but hey, it’s the next big thing, or so they say.
Wonder if there’s a trailer out by now… But wait, where was I going with this? Oh yeah, just keep an eye out and maybe start saving those pennies.
