It’s an exciting week for Xbox enthusiasts with several new releases, and leading the charge is South of Midnight by Compulsion Games. Although the game’s Premium Edition has been accessible since April 3, the Standard Edition is set to hit digital shelves on April 8. As an Xbox first-party title, it’s also making its debut on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
If you haven’t yet had the chance to check it out, I previously reviewed South of Midnight. The game spins a captivating narrative of a young Weaver named Hazel on a mission to save her mother. I expressed hope in my review that Hazel’s journey continues, as the game beautifully celebrates the mystique of the Southern Gothic genre and the Southern landscapes. It’s an experience that offers depth and meaning.
