We overlooked something interesting last week—Vs Mystery Tower, the arcade counterpart of the Famicom’s Mystery Tower, made its way into the Archives.
Today holds a bit of nostalgia for me, marking ten years since I both settled into my current place and began contributing to NWR thanks to Neal’s offer. So, what gaming surprises does this week hold? Are we in for a Chrono Trigger comeback? The preload for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition hits later this week on Thursday. Is there perhaps a quirky version of MLB 2025 where the Toronto Blue Jays channel their inner 1927 Yankees? That drops with early access on Friday, though, from what I’ve heard, the Jays sadly don’t have the magic in that one. So, what’s on the menu right now?
Regrettably, not much catches my eye this week—aside from the new adventure game, On Your Tail. Alas, it’s only showing up in Europe, leaving me with doubts about its release here. Aside from that, Japan is dotted with comic apps. Maybe Fate: Reawakened is worth a shot for those of you still holding out hope for Silksong.
