Alright, so here’s what’s swirling around in my head today. A little heads up from Fellow Traveller and Paper Castle about their quirky little JRPG, Wander Stars, that’s gonna land on Nintendo Switch. There’s been a bit of a plot twist, ’cause—surprise, surprise—the release date’s shifted. Yeah, like those classic movie delays, but who complains when it’s for a good cause?
So, here’s the scoop: The developers tossed out a heartfelt “Hey there!” to their community. They’re hitting pause and pushing the release a tad further away than any of us, or maybe just me… expected. Just had this update, you see, and it’s sort of like—imagine being halfway through a cooking show, and then you realize you forgot to preheat the oven. Oh well.
First, big shoutout to everyone who dived headfirst into the open beta. Apparently, it was like a potluck dinner—everyone bringing something different to the table. All those suggestions, bug reports, and “Seriously, what’s up with this UI?” moments gave them a much-needed nudge. So they’re like, “Hey, let’s get this thing just right,” which sounded a bit like a perplexingly honest move. Kudos to them, I guess.
Now, about those pesky glitches—combat bugs that, quite frankly, made the battles less fun and the balance… how do I even say? Off, especially after Episode 2. Yeah, that tripped me over a couple of times—or at least, I imagine it would if I’d played.
Anyway, they’re taking extra time to buff up the game, kind of like chiseling a sculpture—or maybe knitting a sweater. Stress has been swirling like an unsupervised blender, and they’re also thinking about some much-needed downtime. Wise move. Sprint to the finish line is cool, but no one wants a sloppy sprint, right?
Oh, fun tidbit: They dropped a little Underhero reference. Apparently, Wander Stars is now set to launch on September 19, a nod to Underhero’s own special date. Some things just come full circle, don’t they?
I’m sure all those who’ve stuck around for years (high fives to those patient souls) will appreciate it. They’re painting this picture of an epic final form—like a mythical Pokémon or a homemade lasagna—and honestly, I’m kinda excited to see what they whip up.
A bit about the game—really, it’s this wild, galactic tale with a martial artist named Ringo and his sneaky sidekick, Wolfe. They’re on this quest across anime-inspired episodes—imagine a mashup of Cowboy Bebop, Dragon Ball Z, and One Piece. Bet they’ll be solving mysteries and facing jaw-droppers. So anime, right?
With Kiai—this quirky martial arts style—they’ll be dishing out over 200 unlockable words. As an English nerd, I have to say, that’s something. They’ll be unleashing fury and forming creative combos, which sounds about as crazy as a cat in a nanosuit.
Mark your calendars for the Nintendo eShop world reveal on August 1, 2025. Yep, sounds like we’ve got some waiting to do, but worth it for a polished gem. A trailer’s floating somewhere out there, but you might’ve seen it already. Or maybe not. I don’t know, depends on how much you dig into this stuff.
Till then, happy gaming—or like, happy anything. Just keep doing you.
