Acer has just unveiled an impressive set of six new graphics cards in the Radeon RX 9070 series, with options ranging from base to OC models, some boasting boost clocks that go all the way up to 3.1 GHz.

Today, the tech world saw Acer—a partner with AMD for a while now, though not as prominently as some others—introduce a fresh lineup of RDNA 4 GPUs. This new range includes the slick BiFrost and Nitro models. They’ve rolled out a total of six different cards, split evenly between these two different styles.
Among these, the lineup offers two Nitro models for both the Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9070 and a BiFrost model for each as well. The BiFrost versions are where Acer pulls out all the stops, delivering top-tier design and cooling capabilities. Meanwhile, the Nitro models are more about appealing to the general, mainstream audience, but don’t let that fool you—the specs are still robust.
Let’s start with the BiFrost series. The Acer BiFrost Radeon RX 9070 XT OC 16 GB is equipped with a stylish cooling setup consisting of three fans set in a chic shroud adorned with silver accents around the central fan. This cooler is no joke, bringing in FrostBlade 4.0 ringed fans and a smart counter-spin construction aimed at maximizing cooling. It’s a sizeable card, measuring roughly 295 mm in length and 2.5 slots thick. With a factory-set overclock reaching speeds up to 3.1 GHz, this BiFrost edition promises stellar gaming performance.
If we look at the BiFrost Radeon RX 9070 OC 16 GB, you’ll notice it looks quite similar in design. There’s a notable difference, though: it features two 8-pin power connectors as opposed to the XT’s three. Interestingly enough, both the RX 9070 models still list a 340W power rating, although the standard RX 9070 demands significantly less power by default. Technically, with its two 8-pin connectors plus the PCI-E x16 slot, the RX 9070 can handle that 340W load, though it won’t offer the overclocking headroom of the XT OC model.
Switching over to the Nitro series, Acer presents both OC and non-OC variants for each RX 9070 card. The triple-fan Acer Nitro Radeon RX 9070 XT OC brags about a 3.1 GHz boost clock, a 2.5-slot span, and a matching 295mm length, just like the BiFrost edition. It’s also driven by three 8-pin power connectors and sports a 340W TDP. The non-OC version has a slightly milder power draw of 304W but keeps those three 8-pin power connectors and tops out at a 2970 MHz boost and a 2.4 GHz game mode frequency.
Additionally, the Acer Nitro Radeon RX 9070 OC and RX 9070 16 GB editions reach boost clocks of 2.7 GHz and 2.52 GHz respectively. The OC model sits at 245W power usage, whereas the non-OC model is rated at 220W, maintaining an aesthetically consistent design across both versions.
While Acer keeps most of their pricing cards close to the chest, they’ve disclosed that the Nitro Radeon RX 9070 XT OC 16 GB will set you back a substantial $829.99. Given this price, we can surmise the BiFrost edition might fetch an even steeper price tag. As for when you can get your hands on them, Acer remains tight-lipped on availability, although they did mention the Nitro RX 9070 XT OC will hit the US market come April.
