I was thinking about wrestling the other day, or maybe it was a few weeks back. Time blurs sometimes, you know? Anyway — WWE is gearing up to step back into the ring with Switch 2 soon. Seems like they’re aiming to redeem themselves from that, uh, slightly chaotic December to Dismember… disaster? Yikes.
Ah, but here we go, preorders just popped open earlier today — for real. It’s been, what, since 2017 that we’ve seen a WWE game on a Nintendo console? Or am I totally off? WWE 2K25 is dropping on July 23. They’ve got three versions lined up. Standard one’s going for $69.99 — seems reasonable, I guess. Then there’s this $99.99 “Deadman” edition featuring The Undertaker. Doesn’t he feel like… timeless or something? And, oh yeah, the $129.99 “Bloodline” edition. Roman Reigns is all over that one. Bloodline’s been kind of a big deal this decade. Somehow feels both familiar and brand new.
Supposedly, there’s a roster of over 300 competitors. Isn’t that wild? It’s spread across Raw, Smackdown, and NXT — maybe they’ll pull some surprises there. They mentioned an “Island” mode. Not totally sure what that’s about, but sounds intriguing, right? Could be a hit or a miss, who knows. Anyway — wait, no — where was I? Just thinking out loud.
